HOTELIERS AND BUSINESS OWNERS — HOW BOUTECO CAN HELP YOUR BUSINESS

Bouteco is all about people, places and positive inspiration. More than ever before, hotels need to show a little heart — or even better, a whole lot of heart — to inspire guests to book, and to deliver a meaningful guest experience, while doing their bit for the world. More and more consumers, especially younger customers, actively look for brands with a purpose that are making a positive difference and contribution to the community and the environment.

For Bouteco, sustainability isn’t just about saving water and conserving energy, although obviously, these things are important, it’s about projecting a responsible ethos, inspiring companies and employers to put people at the heart of a business and to encourage others to make small and simple changes for the better. We believe that being sustainable is great for the guest, the hotel, the world, for future generations and a business's bottom line. If someone is choosing between two brands that provide similar service offerings, but one is involved in projects to make a difference to its community/the environment, chances are they will choose that one. We identify your stories of positive impact, create a stronger narrative that has the power to influence change, and we ensure you share what you're up to loudly in the best possible way for your target customer, and to amplify messages that matter.

• Enable us to help others grow.
• Help us be physically and emotionally healthy.
• Defend our physical, financial, and environmental safety.
• Heal rifts and conflicts.
• Enable us to restore and remake stuff.
• Protect us from overexposure.
• Help us disconnect from the chaos of life.
• Empower us to make the world more beautiful, fun, and friendly.
• Help us save energy and resources.
• Facilitate sharing.
• Bring us closer to nature.
• Guide us to places, things, and people that inspire us.
• Deepen our connections with no compromise of privacy.
• Bring out the best in humanity.

Client disclosure

We are pretty picky about who we work with when it comes to amplifying messages that matter and we only like to create communications for businesses that are part of the solution, not the problem. Hotel ownership is an arcane world — and many properties exist as assets in portfolios for those who’ve made their money in shipping and big Pharma. We judge a hotel on that particular property’s role when it comes to whether they are endeavouring to do some good for nature or for their local communities.

Brands we’ve worked with

We’ve been lucky enough to work with some of the poster properties in the sustainable luxury space — and we’re proud to help articulate their passions, pledges and purpose — this includes writing our signature A to Zs of all their endeavours and initiative: Inhabit Hotels in London, Soneva in the Maldives and Thailand, Salt in Mauritius, Amanyara in Turks & Caicos, Phaea Resorts in Crete, in particular Cretan Malia Park. There’s nothing we love more than presenting science through storytelling with solutions-led copywriting — as with Mandarin Oriental’s Sustainability Report informed by data provided through Greenview.

Expressing their spirit of sustainability

Since 2015, we’ve been hosting workshops and conclaves with some of the most forward-thinking hotels, and some of the grand dames who’ve been approaching hospitality with a head and heart for impact before anyone even called it being sustainable. We have loved hosting storytelling sessions for Le Manoir Aux Quit Saisons and Belmond so they can find their voice to express all that they care about without a whisper of greenwashing. Thank you Set Hotels for having us in for a huddle to brainstorm your charity partnerships and carbon offsets.
